Conference attendees are responsible for making their own hotel arrangements. A very limited number of reduced rate hotel rooms are available to conference attendees at $239/night (plus taxes). LUNCHEON/GUEST SPEAKER: KRIS CARR
Registrants of the 12th Annual APAO Conference are eligible to attend a complimentary luncheon featuring Kris Carr - award winning actress, best-selling author, filmmaker and subject of the uplifting documentary, Crazy, Sexy Cancer. The film, which she wrote and directed, chronicles her four-year adventure of living and thriving with stage-four cancer. It premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival and was broadcast on The Learning Channel (TLC) and Discovery Health in 2007.
Kris has been featured on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, The Early Show, The TODAY Show, Montel, Access Hollywood, The Mike & Juliet Show, Good Morning America and The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2007, she was featured in a segment for WABC-TV in New York, which won a Gracie Allen Award from American Women for Radio & Television (AWRT) as well as an Emmy nomination.
Ms. Carr’s most recent release, Crazy Sexy Cancer Survivor: More Rebellion and Fire for Your Healing Journey (Lyons Press, 2008), recounts her courageous story of survival and provides invaluable tips for choosing the right doctor, learning to live in a self-nurturing manner, rebuilding self esteem, as well as how to fight Cancer with your fork.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (better known as the MBTA or the "T") operates public transportation to and from Logan International Airport.
